#NewsAlert24x7 | Delhi : Congress MP from Odisha Shri Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka submitted Adjournment notice in the Parliament on Monday 29,November 2021 over the complete breakdown of law & order situation in Odisha State. Brutal murder case of Mamita Meher & double murder case from Mahanga in Cuttack District in Odisha are highlighted in his letter. Allegded involvement of Home Minister (MoS) & Law Minister in the respective cases have raised concerns over the governance. Previously there were several instances of crime against women & child reported such as Pari,Bebina,Itishree,Kanaklata,Madhabilata,Snehalata and Kunduli case have all met a dead end and ensuring justice to the victims were far from reality.

Congress highlights the NCRB report of 2020 which clearly indicates that Odisha is unsafe for women with 8 women being raped every day,  2nd in the country in crime against women and tops the chart in the country in cyber crime against women.

As per sources Congress MP Saptagiri Ulaka &  AICC’s Odisha in-charge Congress MP Dr A Chellakumar have initiated this adjournment motion to bring the country’s notice over the dismal law & order situation of Odisha.
