On 07.10.2021, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi dedicated 35 PSA oxygen plants to the nation established under the PM CARES Fund virtually, live coverage of which was telecasted at NTPC Talcher Kaniha. On the lines of which, a PSA plant installed and commissioned by NTPC under Ministry of Power was inaugurated at NTPC Talcher Kaniha Hospital, Odisha by Shri Mahesh Sahoo, Hon’ble M.P Dhenkanal in the august presence of Shri Braja Kishore Pradhan, Hon’ble M.L.A Talcher and Shri K. Srinivasa Rao, Executive Director NTPC Talcher Kaniha.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Mahesh Sahoo said, “This facility is dedicated to the people and similar such facilities inaugurated recently would help the country in such tough times of the crisis”. He appreciated NTPC CSR efforts.
Reiterating Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision for the country, Shri Braja Kishore Pradhan said that the country is working in the spirit of taking care of the society as a whole and to keep the country safe from COVID. The MLA appreciated the work and efforts of NTPC Talcher Kaniha and their Medical staff.
On the continuing challenge of COVID-19 in front of us, Shri K. Srinivasa Rao, ED(T-K) mentioned that “It is our responsibility to serve the needy for which we have upgraded our hospital accordingly with respect to the situation pertaining to COVID. We have now ensured adequate facilities in our area along with critical care medical requirements in an emergency with a 50 bedded facility for covid care.” He also added that the facility can fulfil the demands of the Hospital as well as of the nearby areas.
