Odisha government extends the lockdown period till June 17 (5 am) in the State. There shall be a complete shutdown on the weekends starting at 6 PM on Fridays till 5 am on Mondays.
Vaccination drive & Covid testing will be undertaken at the designated places.
The Lockdown restrictions eased in Nuapada, Gajapati and Sundargarh as the Covid19 infection in these districts have decreased. Shops will remain open from 7 am to 1 pm in these districts except saloons, parlors and malls, says Odisha chief secretary. However, other states will be allowed to function from 6 AM to 11 AM.
What is allowed:
1. Hospital, Medical laboratories, Dispensaries, Chemists, Clinics, telemedicine facilities, Veterinary hospitals, Drug Manufacturers.
2. Banks, Non-Banking Financial Institutes, Housing Finance Company, Micro Finance Institutions, Cooperative Credit Societies with bare and minimum Staff.
3. Railway, Airport, Sea Port.
4. Oil and Gas sector including refining, transportation, distribution, storage and retail of products.
5.Generation, transmission and distribution of power.
6. Operation of utilities in water, sanitation and waste management sector at municipal/ local body.
7. Operation of utilities including the movement of vehicles and personnel, providing telecommunications, DTH and internet services.
8. Shops including ration, roadside, street corner shop dealing with food, groceries, fruits and vegetables, dairy and milk booths, meat and fish, animal feeds, seeds, fertilizer, including their transportation, warehouse activities.
All shops during the period of opening shall maintain a minimum of 30 feet shop to shop distance. The shopkeepers and the buyers shall mandatorily abide by the COVID safety protocol like social distancing, use of masks. No person shall be allowed to travel more than 0.5km for the purchase of vegetables. Any violation of COVID-19 protocol will attract closure/ sealing/ cancellation of license of the concerned shops.
