After Virulent variant COVID-19 detected in Andhra Pradesh and several other states, the Odisha government closed border with Andhra and Telengana to check spread of virus.
Collector of Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nawrangpur are hearby directed to put Border check post (BCP) on all inter-state roads (NH, state roads and local roads) along Andhra Pradesh and Telengana border with immediate effect. Travelers from Andhra and Telengana to undergo mandatory institutional quarentine for 14 days in cluster TMCs.
District admins shall ensure border tracking for all major entry points for people coming from AP and Telengana. People travelling from AP and Telengana to other states through Odisha to be allowed without Disembarking from vehicles.
Any person who has been successfully vaccinated (two-dose) and produces a certificate to the effect or tested negative (-ve) in RTPCR test (report to produced) within 48 hours before entering Odisha, may be allowed home quarantine for 7 days. If there is no suitable facility for home quarantine, he/she may opt for institutional/paid quarantine in identified facilities for 7 days.
