Odisha sends over 1,243 oxygen tankers to 15 states

Odisha has so far sent 1,243 tankers with 22,836.855 MT of oxygen to 15 states or union territories facing an acute shortage of life-saving gas in treating COVID-19 patients under the supervision of the State Police. CM Naveen Patnaik has formed a special cell with ADG YK Jethwa as its nodal office to monitor the transportation of oxygen to other states.

As per reports, in the last 35 days 377 tankers have been sent to Andhra Pradesh, 321 tankers received by Telangana, 117 tankers to Tamil Nadu, 172 tankers to Haryana, 41 tankers to Maharashtra, 39 tankers to Chhattisgarh, 62 tankers to Uttar Pradesh, 66 tankers to Madhya Pradesh, 22 tankers to Delhi, 4 tankers to Punjab, 8 tankers to Karnataka, 3 tankers to Bihar, 2 tankers to Chandigarh, 7 tankers to Kerala, 2 tankers to Rajasthan, an official said.

In the last 35 days, 112 tankers were sent from Angul, 280 tankers from Dhenkanal, 265 tankers from Jajpur, 586 tankers from Rourkela.
