SAI International School founder Bijay Sahoo succumbs to COVID
Adviser of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan, Govt. of Odisha and SAI International School founder, Bijay Sahoo passed away on Thursday while battling with post-COVID-19 complications.
He was undergoing treatment in a private hospital for post-Covid complications in Hyderabad.
Chief Minister expressed his condolences on tweet by writing, “Deeply saddened to know about the passing away of noted educationist and entrepreneur, Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo. As Advisor of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan, he had a pioneering role in transforming Govt School education. My condolences to his family, friends & students.”
Dr. B.K. Sahoo is an eminent Edupreneur who firmly believes in enriching society through the holistic grooming of a new generation of leaders. He brought a pioneering revolution in the educational scenario of Odisha with his innovative approaches to nurture children through value-based and internationally benchmarked education. He initiated a global dimension to education by partnering with renowned National and International Institutes.
Dr. Sahoo is the Founder Partner of SRB & Associates, the largest Chartered Accountant firm of the state, the Founder Director of JSS Software Technology Park, the first Private Software Park of Odisha, approved by the Government of India, the JSS Group, the IT, ITeS and Infrastructure Company. He is also a Director of Allahabad Bank, Director of Hindustan Shipyard Limited, Board Member of Central Electricity Supply Utility (CESU), Chairperson Eastern Zone of FICCI Arise.
The Havard alumnus holds the ambition to build a better India through Education. He takes pride in changing the K-12 education scenario in Odisha. He founded SAI International School, which in less than a decade has made a niche in national and international educational arena.
