State plans to turn Hotel into COVID care centers

First of its a kind initiative taken in State. Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has initiated steps to offer treatment to COVID patients in hotel rooms in partnership with dedicated COVID hospitals.

The BMC Commissioner, Sanjay Kumar Singh said, The hospital-hotel tie-up for the creation of isolation beds in hotel rooms with oxygen facility is being planned.

This stay will be a paid facility and patients have to pay as per their choice of properties selected as it would be fixed by the tie-up agreement. The interested hotel owners can approach the private hospitals of their choice for the tie-pup arrangements.

‘We have discussed with hospitality sector and they have evinced keen interest to play an active role in helping the Government control his pandemic, ‘ said Commissioner.
